Gardaí investigating the murder of a young Latvian man on Wednesday morning have arrested three people.
The two men and a woman were detained in Dublin last night, a Garda spokeswoman said. They are all aged in their late 30s.
The men are being held in Coolock and Malahide Garda stations, while the woman is being questioned in Swords. They are all being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and can be questioned for up to 72 hours.
Gardaí opened a murder investigation following the fatal stabbing of the 25-year-old in his home at Ardcollum Avenue, Artane, north Dublin, at about 8.45am on Wednesday.
The victim, originally from Riga, had been living in the rented house with a number of other eastern European men and women since last July.
Supt Noel McLoughlin said the man was stabbed several times in a swiftly executed and vicious attack.
