Three people have today been remanded in custody after they were charged in connection with seizures of drugs worth €1.4 million in Dublin.

Gardaí stopped and searched two cars on the N4 near Liffey Valley shopping centre at about 8pm on Monday and discovered five kilos of heroin.

Two men, aged 41 and 32, and a 26-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

A follow up search was conducted at two houses in Tallaght and Finglas where a further four kilos of heroin and four kilos of cannabis were discovered.

Daniel Eivers (32) from Glin Road in Coolock and Michael Doyle (40) from Vale View Gardens in Finglas were charged with possession of heroin for sale or supply. They were also charged with possessing drugs worth more than €13,000.

The two men were remanded to appear in Cloverhill District Court on Friday.

Sarah Coll (26) with an address at Valeview Gardens was also charged with possessing cannabis worth more than €13,000.

She was remanded in custody and will appear again on Monday next.
