Three people have died in the North as a result of traffic accidents in recent weeks

Three people have died in the North as a result of traffic accidents in recent weeks. Mrs Margaret Harold (77), died on Sunday night from injuries she received when struck by a car outside her home at Aughlish Cottages, Tandragee, Co Armagh on December 23rd.

Mr Richard Derby (22), of Mount Michael Park, Belfast died on St Stephen's Day from injuries he received in a collision on the Bangor Road between Holywood and Bangor, Co Down on December 20th. Ms Wendy McCreight (20), from Luxor Gardens, Belfast and Mr Graham Hanna (21), from Glenbrook Avenue, Belfast, died at the scene of the accident. Mr Clifford Whiteside (36), from Brentwood Park, Richhill, Co Armagh, died in hospital on St Stephen's Day as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident at Markethill, Co Armagh on December 15th.

Meanwhile, a Carlow man who was seriously injured in a road accident on December 18th died yesterday in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital. Mr John Walsh, a pedestrian, was knocked down by a car in the Rathcrogue area outside Carlow town.
