Two men and a woman were remanded in custody after they appeared in court in Cork yesterday over a fracas on the northside of the city on Tuesday night in which gardaí were assaulted.
Brian Blake (40) and his son, Alan (19) from Hollyville, Hollyhill, and Mary Wyse (37), from Harbour View Road, Knocknaheeny, were charged with 17 offences. Brian Blake was charged with three counts of section 2 assault, namely that he did assault Garda Kieran Barrett, Garda Peter Desmond and Garda Donal Kelly at Harbour View Road on June 21st. He was charged with four offences under the Public Order Act.
Alan Blake was charged with two counts of section 2 assault and with four public order offences. Mary Wyse was also charged with four public order offences. Judge Con O’Leary remanded them in custody to appear at Cork District Court on June 29th.
