Three held after major Dublin drug seizures

A 26-year-old man was arrested yesterday following the siezure of €105,000-worth of cocaine.

A 26-year-old man was arrested yesterday following the siezure of €105,000-worth of cocaine.

He was arrested yesterday evening in Palmerstown, west Dublin and can be held for up to seven days without charge.

The drug seizure was made following a surveillance operation by Gardai at Ballyfermot.

Meanwhile, gardaí have  arrested two men and seized cannabis and cocaine with a street value of €26,500 an operation in the Swords area last night.

The two men were arrested at Applewood Village at 9.30 p.m. in possession of the drugs and in a follow up search  a substantial quantity of cash was seized.

Both men who are in their early twenties are being held at Swords station  under the provisions of Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
