In the first raid, officers from Clontarf Garda Station, assisted by members of the Garda National Drugs Unit, searched a flat in Beverley Court, Vernon Avenue, Clontarf yesterday evening.

One kilo of cocaine, valued at €70,000, was seized and two men, aged 52 and 58, were arrested.

Both are being held for questioning at Clontarf Garda Station.

Early this morning, gardaí stopped a car at Neilstown Avenue in Clondalkin. A search of a man in the car uncovered small amounts of ecstasy and heroin.

In a follow-up search of a house on Neilstown Drive, a further one kilo of heroin, with an estimated street value of €150,000, was seized.

The man who was searched in the car was arrested and is due to appear in Dublin District Court tomorrow.
