Three men are being questioned by police in Belfast over the attempted murder of a 14-year-old boy in Belfast at the weekend.
The boy was seriously injured when he was stabbed a number of times early on Saturday morning in the east of the city.
Despite suffering stab wounds to the abdomen, chest and legs in the attack at playing fields near Prince Regent Road, the boy managed to escape his attackers.
He made his way to the nearby Picardy Avenue where he was found by police and taken to hospital.

He underwent emergency surgery on his wounds and remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Police have appealed for information from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at around 5 a.m. on Saturday.
