Three people have been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of a man in Dublin yesterday.
Paul McCarthy (19) was shot in the head in Inchicore yesterday afternoon. He died at Beaumont Hospital last night and a postmortem was carried out on his body today.
House-to-house inquiries were carried out yesterday evening in the Inchicore area and investigating officers interviewed several witnesses at the scene. They recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the incident from a house in Emmet Road.
Three teenage males were arrested today in relation to the incident.
They are being detained at Kevin Street, Harcourt Terrace and Pearse Street Garda stations under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
