Police investigating the death of a man in Co Derry are questioning three men.
Gary Butcher (39) died in the Seacoast Road area of Limavady early this morning.
It is understood he was killed during a disturbance at a local bar. The bar remained cordoned off today as forensic officers examined the scene.
Sinn Féin Assembly member for East Derry Billy Leonard said local people were devastated.
“This news is absolutely tragic and families are now left reeling with shock and finding it hard to come to terms with the situation.
“Obviously all our thoughts are with the victim’s family. The circumstances of this tragedy are unclear so it is obviously much harder for the families and the devastated community to come to terms with everything.
“It will take a long time for the people there to deal with this incident.” SDLP councillor Mickey Coyle urged anyone with information about the murder to come forward.
