Gardaí in Limerick investigating the murder of a man almost two years ago have arrested three people.
Jeffrey Hannon (19) was found dead in an open green area in a housing estate at Galtee Drive near the Galvone industrial estate on November 22nd, 2007.
The father of one was found to have died from serious head injuries, which it is believed were inflicted with a heavy, sharp instrument.
Two women, one in her late teens, the other in her late 30s, were arrested this morning in the Limerick area, along with a man in his 20s.
The three are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Roxboro Road, Henry Street and Mayorstone Garda stations.
Gardaí carried out a series of raids last week on Limerick's south side, during which a number of arrests were made.
Today's arrests bring the 16 the number of people questioned over Mr Hannon's murder.
