Three hurt as stolen car crashes in North

Three people were injured in the incident which occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on the Upper Newtownards Road. Two of the injured required hospital treatment.

The Vauxhall Astra car is understood to have been stolen from a filling station in Sanford Park before being driven at high speed along the Newtownards Road towards the city centre where it mounted the pavement and hit the bus shelter.

The car failed to stop and was later found abandoned in the Market area. The PSNI are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
