Four men charged in connection with a major drugs seizure in Co Meath last weekend appeared in court yesterday where three of them were granted bail terms by Judge William Hamill at Trim District Court.

Séamus Halpin (35), Mooneystown, Athboy; Paul Reay (25), Marley's Lane, Drogheda, and Adrian Boyle (29), Oaklawns, Navan, are charged with having cocaine for sale or supply on August 5th at Mooneystown, Athboy and are also facing charges of unlawful possession. Gardaí now estimate the value of the cocaine to exceed €300,000.

They were remanded on their own bail of €30,000, with independent sureties of €30,000 to €50,000.

The judge refused to set bail terms for a fourth man, Seán Fennessy (25), Windtown Crescent, Navan, facing the same charges.

A fifth man was remanded in custody over another drugs seizure in Co Meath last week. Gary Doran (31), Lower Oriel Street, Dublin, is charged with having cannabis for sale or supply on August 5th at Jack Quinn's pub, Scurlogstown, Trim.

He did not apply for bail.
