Three men were taken to hospital after a so called punishment shooting in Portadown, Co Armagh, last night. The incident happened at about 7.30 p.m. in the Princess Way area of Portadown.
The men, who are from the Portadown and Lisburn area, suffered gunshot injuries to the upper begs. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
In North Belfast, a 31 year old man was taken to hospital last night after a so called punishment beating.
The man sustained fractures to the fingers and other injuries alter three masked men entered a house at Cosgrave Heights and attacked him with baseball bats. A woman in her 20s was also struck in the face.
