Three people were killed in road traffic accidents over the weekend

Three people were killed in road traffic accidents over the weekend. A 13-year-old boy died on Saturday afternoon at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, as a result of injuries he received in an accident on Friday evening near his home in Co. Monaghan. He has been named as Paul Cunningham, of Broomfield, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. He had been struck by a van while cycling at 6.20 p.m.

A woman was fatally injured when she was struck by a car at Thomas Court, Dublin, at 8.40 p.m. on Saturday night. She has been named as Ms Joan Walsh (49), of Stanhope Green, Dublin. Her body was taken to St James's Hospital.

In Co. Kerry, a man was killed at about 9.30 p.m. on Saturday night when the car in which he was travelling collided with another. He has been named as Mr Patrick O'Sullivan. The incident happened on the Killorgin to Killarney road.
