Three men were killed in traffic accidents over the weekend. Mr Michael Walsh (34) of Channel Road, Rush, Co Dublin, was killed on Saturday when his motorcycle collided head-on with a car at Glencannon, near Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, at 4.45 p.m.

A 33-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision in Offaly yesterday. He was a passenger in a car which hit a van on the road between Edenderry and Rathangan. And last night an 82-year-old pedestrian was killed in a collision with a motorcycle in Co Wexford. The accident happened at Rocksborough at 8.30 p.m. The 25-year-old motorcyclist was said to be in a serious but comfortable condition at Wexford General Hospital.

In Mallow, Co Cork, a six-year-old boy was fatally injured after falling through the roof of a building at Summerhill on Saturday.
