Three men have been arrested after the discovery of guns and ammunition in a car in Co Clare.
The three were arrested at 9.30am when their car was stopped on the old Limerick to Clare road near Drumline, Newmarket On Fergus.
Gardaí siezed firearms, ammunition and high-visibility jackets from the car, a Garda spokesman said.
Two men were taken to Shannon Garda station and one to Ennis Garda station. They can be held for up to 72 hours.

The men from Cork, Clare and Limerick, respectively, are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
"The arrests are part of an ongoing operation against armed criminals in the Limerick and Clare areas," the spokesman added.
