Three men are expected to appear at a special sitting of Bangor Magistrates Court this morning on charges relating to an attempted murder in the town in January, 1999.
One 28-year-old man faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Another 28-year-old is charged with possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life, and the third man, 48, is accused of possession of articles and information likely to be of use to terrorists.
The three men are all from North Down.
