Two men from Northern Ireland are still being questioned by gardaí this evening after being arrested yesterday in connection with an armed raid on a warehouse in the Ballymount Industrial Estate in West Dublin.
A third man was arrested on Dublin's southside this afternoon.
Gardaí said a gang of at least three men wearing balaclavas and armed with stun guns and a knife broke into the business at around 4.30 p.m. and threatened two members of staff.
One worker was tied up while the other was forced to load a trailer with several pallets of electrical parts used in alarms and security systems. The parts had an estimated value of €250,000.
Two of the raiders made their escape in the truck, while the third drove away in a VW Golf.
The truck was stopped by two detectives on the Naas Road at around 5.35 p.m., just ten minutes after the alarm was raised.
Two men in the truck were arrested and were taken to Crumlin and Sundrive Road Garda Stationsm, where they were held under Section 30, Offences Against the State Act, 1939. Both men are aged in their late thirties and have addresses in Co Down.
A third man was arrested in Dublin this afternoon and is also being held under Section 30 at Crumlin.
The National Bureau of Criminal Investigation has joined the investigation into the aggravated burglary.
