Cork 2-11 Tipperary 3-14: Tipperary secured back-to-back All-Ireland minor hurling titles today as they beat Cork in the curtain-raiser to this afternoon's All-Ireland SHC final between Kilkenny and Limerick (3.30pm).
Sean Carey (2-0) was inspired while Michael Heffernan also scored a goal for for Tipperary.
The opening exchanges saw provincial runners-up Cork race into a 0-5 to 0-1 lead but Tipp bounced back as Carey traded goals with Cork's Robert White.
Tipp went into the break 1-9 to 1-6 in front before Heffernan's strike increased Tipp's advantage. Carey then netted again before Luke O'Farrell grabbed a consolation Cork goal.
