GAA:Brendan Maher will have to settle for a place on the bench when Tipperary take on Dublin for a place in the All-Ireland final this weekend. After hammering Waterford out of sight in the Munster decider, manager Declan Ryan has unsurprisingly decided to stick with a winning formula.
That means Maher, last year’s Young Hurler of the Year, is again named among the substitutes despite his late introduction against Waterford but he should play some part at Croke Park after fully recovering from the ankle injury he sustained earlier in the year.
Paddy Stapleton, who replaced David Young at corner back for the Munster final against Waterford, retains his place with the only change in the starting line-up positional, Noel McGrath and Seamus Callanan switching places in the half forward line.
Dublin manager Anthony Daly will name his side tomorrow evening.
