The owner of the Village Inn, Tyrrellspass, Co Westmeath, Mr Peter Pierson, has won the 1997 Billy Kelly Award of Excellence. The award, presented every three years by the Irish Hotels Federation, recognises an individual's outstanding contribution to the development of the hotel and guesthouse sector.
