WITH more than four million kilometres of accurately mapped scenery, it becomes fairly obvious that EF20OO is a very serious game. And when you see that the accompanying manual is almost 300 pages long, serious becomes a bit of an understatement. Just for the record, EF stands for Euro Fighter which is still a highly classified project.
The game's aeronautical engineers have somehow deconstructed available plans to make the plane's characteristics as precise as possible.
EF2000 could also be described as a virtual travel guide, as you can fly over most of the Scandinavian countries and see the sights as they really are. There is so much detail, that the game supposedly almost rivals the much more costly military simulators.
Although there are plenty of options for beginners, only extremely enthusiastic filght sim fans will be bothered to learn what it takes to become top gun. While the minimum system requirement is a 486DX/33mhz, to run this sim in all its glory you're going to need something with a lot more engine power and a serious joystick.
EF2000 has it all and more, but if you are not prepared to learn the hundreds of key functions and the constant reference to the huge manual you won't realise its full potential. Strictly for flight sim connoisseurs only.
