London - British Transport Secretary, Mr Stephen Byers, yesterday came under fresh Opposition pressure in the Commons to sack his special adviser, Ms Jo Moore.
Tories rounded on Ms Moore over her e-mail suggesting, within minutes of the terrorist strikes on the world trade centre, that it was a good day to "bury" bad news.
Shadow Transport Secretary, Ms Theresa May, claimed the e-mail had "debased politics", brought "disrepute" on the government and had struck at the heart of the relationship between non-political civil servants and politicians.
"You cling to Jo Moore because you know that if she goes, you will be next in line," she told Mr Byers at the start of an Opposition debate on the infamous e-mail.
