The parents of murdered French film producer Sophie Toscan du Plantier arrived in Cork yesterday to attend a memorial Mass for their daughter on Sunday.
Georges (87) and Marguerite Bouniol (85) were welcomed at Cork Airport by French consul in Cork Françoise Letellier and Supt Liam Horgan of Macroom Garda station.
Supt Horgan, then attached to Bantry, was the Garda family liaison officer appointed to meet the family when they first arrived in Cork on Christmas Eve 1996 to identify their daughter.
