Tourism funding approved by IHF

The Irish Hotels' Federation (IHF) has welcomed the additional £12.5 million allocated for tourism marketing

The Irish Hotels' Federation (IHF) has welcomed the additional £12.5 million allocated for tourism marketing. The allocation of £5 million for the British market was particularly welcome, said the IHF.

It said the Minister's offer to discuss with employer bodies the rules applying to the exemption from benefit-in-kind where childcare facilities were provided by employers was encouraging news. The federation also approved the reduction in corporation tax and, in particular, the increase to £200,000 of the threshold under which small companies qualify for the lower 12.5 per cent rate.
