A number of streets in Dublin city centre will be closed tomorrow and at the weekend, during ceremonies to mark EU enlargement and related protests. The main restrictions for motorists are:

Phoenix Park will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians from 6 p.m. tomorrow. The Garda said it expected to reopen the park early on Sunday morning.

Martin's Row, Knockmaroon Hill and Tower Road will be closed to traffic, except for access, from 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The main traffic diversion routes around the Phoenix Park will be the N4 (Chapelizod Bypass/Con Colbert Road/St John's Road) and the N3 (Navan Road/Cabra Roads). All local traffic in Castleknock area will have to exit onto the N4/N3 via local roads.

The N3 (Navan Road, Old Cabra Road) will be open to the North Circular Road junction (Hanlon's Corner) where no traffic will be allowed turn right.

The North Circular Road will be closed from Hanlon's Corner to the Phoenix Park, except for local access. Traffic will be diverted along Old Cabra Road and Prussia Street.

The N4 (Chapelizod Bypass, Con Colbert Road, St John's Road West) will be open for traffic. The Chapelizod slip-road will be closed, except for local access.

Traffic travelling along the South Quays will not be allowed turn right over Frank Sherwin Bridge (opposite Heuston station). All traffic travelling along St John's Road will be diverted right on the bridge along the North Quays.

Around Dublin Castle, there will be traffic restrictions in place, affecting Wexford St, Kevin St Lower, Parliament St, Dame St, South Great George's St, Nicholas St and Christchurch Place.

Merrion Square South closed yesterday and will reopen at 6 p.m. on Monday. Merrion Street Upper and Merrion Square West will close at 10 a.m. tomorrow and reopen at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Merrion Square East and Fitzwilliam Street Lower will close between 7 a.m. and midnight on Saturday.

Viewing for tomorrow's Stars of the Sea fireworks display will be on the Beach Road between Leahy's Terrace and Marine Drive, and on Strand Road between Marine Drive and St Alban's Park/Merrion Road. Roads will be closed from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and there will be no access for vehicles from Merrion Road and Shelbourne Road. A viewing area for people with special needs will be set up at the car-park near Gilford Road.

Full DART service will operate on Saturday, and extra trains will be put on tomorrow evening for the Stars of the Sea fireworks display in Sandymount. Grand Canal Dock station will be closed, however, from 8 p.m. tomorrow.
