Morris Tribunal: The chairman of the Morris tribunal has told a Donegal nightclub manager that his cross-examination of a senior garda is "a very considerable waste of time" and he regards it as being at an end.

Mr Frank McBrearty jnr is representing himself before the tribunal because he is unable to get assurances on costs.

Yesterday marked his third day questioning Supt John McGinley about the conduct of the investigation into the death of cattle-dealer Mr Richie Barron. Mr Justice Morris told Mr McBrearty that he had an obligation to conduct the inquiry as expeditiously as possible.

Earlier, the chairman had told Mr McBrearty that the questions he was asking were not of any value to him.
