There was a large turnout for the parade in Tullamore, Co Offaly, which took nearly an hour to pass the review stand. Representatives of two local organisations celebrating their centenaries, the Pioneer Abstinence Association and the Irish National Foresters, were marching. There was plenty of music from the Tullamore Town Band, the Order of Malta Band and the Mullingar Town Band, which had to hurry back to take part in the Mullingar parade.

Its theme was "St Patrick's Mission to Ireland" and Midlands Local Radio's entry had "St Patrick" rescued by crane from the top of its building near the reviewing stand.
