Ankara - Turkey and Iran signed a deal yesterday pledging to co-operate against Kurdish rebels and Iranian armed dissidents, but appeared unable to agree on their exact location and activities.
The border co-operation accord was clinched after three days of lengthy and difficult talks between teams from Islamic Iran and officially secularist Turkey in the Turkish capital.
Meanwhile, the condemned Kurdish rebel leader, Abdullah Ocalan, said his rebels would be prepared to hand in their weapons if Turkey offered an amnesty to end the conflict.
