Two arrested over fatal Dublin hit and run

Gardaí are investigating a fatal hit and run collision that killed a man in his 40s in Co Dublin this morning.

The incident happened at Littlepace, Clonee on the old Navan Road at 12.35 a.m this morning.

The man who died was a pedestrian. He was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he was pronounced dead.

Two men were arrested and a car was seized.

They were later released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are appealing for witnesses to the incident. They particularly wish to speak with anyone who may have used the northbound N3 slip road for Littlepace between 00.30 and 00.40 a.m.
