Two boys die in Clondalkin caravan fire

Two young boys lost their lives in a caravan fire in the west of Dublin city this afternoon.

Two young boys lost their lives in a caravan fire in the west of Dublin city this afternoon.

The brothers, aged only 18 months and 3 years died when the caravan they were in caught fire in Old Castle Park in Clondalkin shortly after 2pm.

It is understood the boys were on their own in the caravan at the time.

The eldest of the two was to celebrate his third birthday tomorrow.  The boys were taken to Tallagh hospital where they will undergo post mortem examinations.
