Two charged after cannabis find

Two people have been charged after gardaí found a a cannabis “grow house” in a Tallaght estate.

Two people have been charged after gardaí found a a cannabis “grow house” in a Tallaght estate.

The District Court in Tallaght heard that the total amount of cannabis plants and herbs found in the possession of Quoc Bin Ngo (24) and Ninh Van Nguyen (18) are said to have had a street value of about €148,000. They are from Vietnam but were stated to have no fixed abode.

They were charged with cultivation of cannabis without a licence, simple possession of cannabis herb and possession of cannabis herb for sale or supply at an address at Virginia Heights, Tallaght, Dublin, on May 9th.

It will be alleged that the upstairs of the house had been adapted into a “grow house” and used to cultivate cannabis plants. They were remanded in custody at Cloverhill until Tuesday next.
