Two men have been charged with the murder of Mr Elliot Robertson (24), at Bohey, Dromahair, Co Leitrim, earlier this week. Mr Mark Barber (29), originally from London, and Mr Andy Roche, (32), a native of Scotland, appeared at a special sitting of Manorhamilton District Court last night.
They had been arrested after the death of Mr Robertson in Sligo General Hospital on Tuesday. He had been assaulted on Monday night. Judge Oliver McGuinness remanded the men in custody to Castlerea Prison until October 14th. Both men were represented by solicitors during the brief hearing. Mr Robertson, who was a member of the New Age travelling community at Bohey, was a native of Scotland.
