Two men have died after separate road crashes in the south east.
A man died after he crashed his tractor in Co Waterford last night.
The man (54) was driving the tractor at Mellary Hill, Mount Mellary, Cappoquin, at 10.10pm. He was taken to hospital in Waterford where he died several hours later.
He was named by gardaí today as John Devine of Ballysaggart, Cappoquin.
Elsewhere, a man (21) was killed in Co Wexford this morning. He was a passenger in a van that crashed at Ballydoyle, Ballycogley, Kilmore Quay at 9.40am.
"One man was arrested and processed at Wexford Garda Station under drink driving legislation. He has since been released," a Garda statement added.
Gardaí have named the man who died in yesterday's crash on the N8 between Portlaoise and Abbeyleix as Dhanesh Muthermadathil Sadasivan (27) of Crumlin Road, Dublin 12.
