Two people have been admitted to Letterkenny General Hospital diagnosed with meningitis, the North Western Health Board confirmed today.
Last weekend a young woman was admitted and diagnosed with meningitis. A child admitted on Tuesday was also found to have the virus. Staff and children at the child's school have been antibiotics as a precautionary measure.
The health board said it has not identified the organism causing the infection.
