Two people have died in car crash outside Omagh, Co Tyrone, today.
The collision happened on the main Cookstown to Omagh Road just after 3pm.
The crash occurred as motorists across Northern Ireland continue to been warned about hazardous driving conditions caused by the wintry weather.
After visiting the scene, Mid Tyrone Sinn Féin Cllr Ann Marie Fitzgerald expressed sympathy with the families of victims. “This was a horrific accident which has claimed two young lives,” she said.

“I understand that two lads died at the scene while a third has been taken to hospital. . . . This is a horrendous story at the beginning of the new year,” added Ms Fitzgerald.
