Two men will appear in court on charges after a gun and ammunition were found in a car stopped by gardai in Co Louth.
The men, aged 30 and 21, were detained at Dundalk Garda station.
Another man and a woman, who had been questioned at Carrickmacross station, have been released tonight without charge, a Garda statement said.
No court venue or time has yet been confirmed for the court appearances.

Gardaí stopped and searched two cars in the Castlebellingham and Haggardstown areas near Dundalk at about 7pm last night.
The four suspects were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. According to gardaí, officers involved in the raid are engaged in an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of guns.
