Two men will appear in the Dublin District Court on September 13th in relation to an incident on an Aer Arann aircraft on Saturday.
The incident happened just after 3 p.m. on flight RE623 which was due to leave Dublin Airport at 2.30 p.m. bound for Cork.
The passengers were all boarded when the alleged incident took place in which the pilot and a passenger were injured.
A Garda spokeswoman said that, after an incident at the airport, two men were arrested by airport police and charged under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.
They were due to appear in the Dublin District Court on September 13th next, she said.
A spokeswoman for Aer Arann said that after an incident on Saturday one of its pilots suffered a broken nose and was taken to hospital.
After the incident the passengers on the aircraft were brought back to the terminal to await a new crew. They were offered refreshments during the subsequent delay of about and an hour and a half.
