Two men aged in their 40s have been arrested in connection with the murder of Anthony Fallon in Co Tipperary last week.
Anthony Fallon (46) was found dead in an apartment block on New Quay, Clonmel on Thursday.
It is understood the father-of-two had injuries consistent with an assault.
His body was found in a stairwell about 100 yards inside River House, an apartment block on the corner of New Quay and Dowd’s Lane.
There was speculation that he may have been assaulted at his own home before making his way around the corner to River House. Mr Fallon had been living in a rented apartment on nearby Abbey Street.
The two men currently being held were arrested in Clonmel this morning and are both being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
