Children as young as 10 were involved in stone throwing in Belfast yesterday evening that left two motorists injured.
A lorry driver received cuts to his back when a stone was thrown through the window of his cab, while a woman who was a front seat passenger in a car injured when a brick came through the window of a car. She received cuts to her face, arms and legs.
The Westlink motorway was closed for a time to clear stones and bricks yesterday evening, police said this morning. Up to 20 vehicles were damaged.
Some children aged 10 between 12 were believed to be part of the group responsible for the incident, a spokesman added.
