Guernsey - Two people were killed last night when a freight aircraft crashed and burst into flames as it came into land at Guernsey Airport.
The Fokker 27 turbo prop plane clipped a house before ploughing into a field near the Channel Islands airport at 5.06 p.m.
A police spokesman said the aircraft was owned by the island-based Channel Express.
"The aircraft was in collision with a dwelling but there are no casualties from that dwelling," he said.
