Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road accident at Mortarstown on the Carlow-Kilkenny road early yesterday.
Mr David Stringer (19), Clohass, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, was killed when the car he was driving crashed into a tree.
A male passenger, also aged 19, was injured in the crash, and was removed to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.
Gardaí have asked for any witnesses to the incident to contact them at Carlow Garda station at (059) 913 6620.
