Two killed in road accidents

A YOUNG driver died after car crashed into a pole in Chapelizod early today.

A YOUNG driver died after car crashed into a pole in Chapelizod early today.

The man, in his 20s, was cut from the wreckage by members of Dublin Fire Brigade. He taken to St James's Hospital, but died a short time later. The passenger in the car suffered severe fractures. He was in a stable condition at St James's.

In Killenaule, Co Tipperary, a 17 year old youth was killed last night when the car in which he was travelling hit a wall, overturned and crashed into a parked car. He was dead on arrival at Cashel Hospital. Three other people in the car were admitted to hospital, but their condition was not serious.
