Two people have died in road traffic collisions in counties Dublin and Kerry.

A man died as a result of injuries sustained in collision involving a lorry and a motorcycle on the Park West Road in Dublin 12 at about 12.45pm today.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the lorry was not injured in the incident.

Separately, a man in his 40s has died as a result of injuries sustained in an incident in Co Kerry this morning.

The man was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a lorry on Main Street in Rathmore at about 7.30am.

He was taken to Kerry General Hospital for treatment but died this afternoon.
