Two men have been arrested following overnight burglaries in Co Cork.
It is understood the men, both in their 20s, stole a car on the southside of Cork city before committing a number of burglaries in the Courtmacsherry area.
A Garda spokesman said the car was spotted on the outskirts of the city at around 7am.
A Garda patrol car that gave chase was later rammed by the raiders. No officers were reported injured.
The stolen car then drove off, crashing into at least one parked car and knocking down a pedestrian, who is understood to have suffered a broken leg.
A Garda spokesman said the car eventually crashed into a bridge in the city centre.
The two men were arrested at the scene, and they are being held separately in the Togher and the Bridewell Garda stations for questioning.
