Two men have been killed following a collision late last night near Roscrea, Co Tipperary.
The men, who were in separate cars, died after the head-on crash at Cooleshill, just north of the town, on the N7 at 11pm.
Both drivers, one aged 64 and the other 33, died. There were no passengers in either car.Gardaí have not yet released the identities of the victims. Witnesses are asked to contact Roscrea Garda Station at: 0505-21700.
So far this year 169 people have died on the State's roads, compared to 155 for the same period last year.
