Two people were injured after a fire broke out in a hostel for the homeless in the Christchurch area of Dublin early today.

Two people were injured after a fire broke out in a hostel for the homeless in the Christchurch area of Dublin early today.

Five units of Dublin Fire Brigade fought the fire at the St Vincent De Paul Hostel in Back Lane, Christchurch, at about 3 a.m.

The injured men were said to be in a stable condition at St James's Hospital in Dublin today.

All of the other occupants of the hostel were evacuated from the building.
