Two men arrested yesterday over the murder Catholic community worker Kevin McDaid in Coleraine last month have been released pending further investigations.
The men – aged 44 and 37 – were questioned at Antrim police station over the murder of Mr McDaid (49), and the serious assault of Damien Fleming (46).
The pair were attacked by a Protestant mob in the Heights area of the Co Derry town on May 24th after Rangers beat Celtic to the Scottish Premier League title.
Nine people have been charged in connection with the incident.
