Two youths die in Roscommon crash

The two 17-year-old youths killed in a crash in Co Roscommon were named this evening.

Padraic Mc Hugh, from Rockfield, Donamon, and Kieran Kelly, of Rathbrennan, died when the car they were travelling in left the road and crashed into a field. It is understood they were back seat passengers.

Two other people were  injured in the single-vehicle crash at Bohergarve on the N61 outside Roscommon town at around 2am. They are in a critical condition in hospital.

Elsewhere, two men were killed separate road crashes yesterday evening.

A man in his 60s was killed when the car he was driving left the road near Killucan Village, Co Westmeath, at 6.30pm. No other vehicles were involved.

In Dublin a man in his 40s died when his motorcycle hit an exit barrier in Corkagh Park, Clondalkin, shortly after 6pm.
