Two teenagers were taken to Cork University Hospital at the weekend following a fracas outside the Coachford Community Hall in north-west Cork. The teenagers had been attending a GAA disco in the town when a fight developed late on Saturday evening. One of the youths was stabbed and another was seriously injured. Garda sources said some cars were damaged in the incident. A girl who was arrested was later released without charge.

One of the youths was released from hospital yesterday but the other, whose condition is understood to be comfortable, was detained for observation.
